postscript: an interview on blogging

I've been asked by a friend of mine to talk about blogging on ABC Radio on Tuesday. Likely questions will include, "Why do I blog?", "What do I get out of it?", "Who reads your blog", "how do you decide what to write about" etc.....

Any thoughts would be appreciated. It's about a year since I started The Tin House blog. It's such an extension of my life here that I hardly think of it as something with a beginning, which is a trifle strange. Anyway, I've got my thinking cap on and would truly appreciate any insight into what you might be getting out of what I do here. I'm certain I'll be surprised. lol xx

p.s. I posted earlier this afternoon about some biscuits. Now I know biscuits are NOT one of the five food groups but they surely should be.

p.s. Monica in Molong: Tuesday just after the 9am news!

for someone like myself, who dosn't have any like minded people in my life to talk to and share thourghts and ideas with, it is great to sit down (with a cup of tea) at the end of the day and read your blog. Next best thing to sitting down with a freind.

I agree with both the PP's. I have gained a friendship and a place to "talk" with the like minded. Plus I am inspired by your day to day life, and welcome any and all encouragement on the path to living a little more sustainably.
Enjoy your interview, will there be a podcast available for those of us who can't hear the broadcast?
Love Jen xx
PS: When were biscuits removed from the five food groups??

Hi Lisa, I'll be sure to listen out for you! Is that AM or FM?

The recipes for sure! Also a connection with like minded souls. A journal of our daily paths, unlike our grandmothers we don't tend to keep hand written ones anymore. I think a secure community as well. Theses days we don't know our neighbours but we do have bloggy ones :)
I'd also love to hear a podcast. let us know if it is available.
-hugs-

What do I get from reading your blog (and others)? The feeling, finally, that I'm more normal than I thought I was, that I'm not alone in the way I think, that I'm not the only one who thinks, says and does the things I do. A feeling of acceptance, friendship.
